Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Subscription Logger ("the app") is developed by the Subscription Logger team. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is used.
The short version
Your subscription data stays yours. It is stored on your device and in your own private iCloud. The developer cannot see it, does not collect it, and does not sell it. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, and Google collects device identifiers to serve those ads, as described below.
Data you enter
Anything you type into the app, subscription names, costs, renewal dates, categories, payment methods, account numbers, and notes, is stored:
- Locally on your device, and
- In your private iCloud database (CloudKit), so it can sync across your devices.
Your iCloud data is accessible only with your Apple ID. The developer has no access to it and receives no copy of it. No account with the developer is required to use the app.
Data the developer collects
None. The developer does not operate servers that receive your data, does not use analytics, and does not collect crash reports tied to you.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app displays ads provided by Google AdMob to keep the app free. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK may collect:
- Device identifiers, such as your device's advertising identifier, used for ad serving, frequency capping, and fraud prevention.
- Coarse diagnostic and interaction data related to ad performance.
This data is collected by Google, not by the developer, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage ad personalization in your iPhone settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and in your Google account ad settings.
Notifications
Renewal reminders are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. No reminder data is sent anywhere.
iCloud sync
If you use iCloud sync, your subscription data is transmitted to Apple's iCloud servers under your Apple ID, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. You can pause or stop syncing at any time in the app's Settings without deleting your local data.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and the developer knowingly collects no data from anyone, including children.
Data retention and deletion
Because the developer holds no copy of your data, there is nothing on the developer's side to delete. To remove your data entirely, delete it in the app (which also removes it from your iCloud) and delete the app from your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
